Modifying Components with the Mouse

Components

Clicking on an component and dragging results in the component to be moved along the xz plane. Holding down the shift key while dragging scales the component on the xy plane.

Right-clicking on an component and dragging results in the component to be moved up and down along the Y axis. Holding down the shift key while dragging scales the component on the Y axis.

For both the Left and Right mouse buttons, clicking on an component while holding down the control key, and dragging scales the component equally in all directions.

Scaling generally applies only to objects. Scaling of lights is defined as an adjustment to the light's intensity. Scaling of the Animation Camera adjusts its Field of View.

Object Faces

While using the Point and Face Selection tool, clicking on a face and dragging results in the face being moved along the xz plane. Holding down the shift key while dragging selects multiple faces. Holding down the control key while clicking/dragging toggles selected faces. Holding the alt key and clicking on a face results in the selection of all faces that point the same direction. Holding the alt key and ctrl key and clicking on a face results in the selection of all faces that are the color of the face selected. Holding down the control key and shift key while dragging moves the face in the direction that the face points.

Right-clicking on a face and dragging results in the face being moved up and down along the Y axis.
